Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has emphasized the vast potential for exporting electric two-wheelers from India, particularly to markets where Indian manufacturers are already established with conventional engine models. Speaking at the launch of Revolt Motors' new electric commuter motorcycle, Gadkari highlighted that India exports 50% of its motorcycle production, with leading brands like Bajaj Auto, Hero MotoCorp, and TVS holding a strong presence in international markets.

Gadkari encouraged Revolt Motors to explore opportunities in neighboring countries, Africa, and Latin America, where demand for electric vehicles is expected to grow. Revolt Motors has already planned its initial exports to Sri Lanka and is also considering Nepal and other regions in Africa and Latin America.

At the event, Revolt Motors launched the RV1, a commuter electric bike available in two variants. The bike is priced at ₹84,990 for the model with a 2.2 kWh battery offering a 100 km range and ₹99,990 for the version with a 3.24 kWh battery and a 160 km range.

Anjali Rattan, Co-Founder and Chairperson of Rattan India Enterprises, the promoter company of Revolt Motors, shared the company’s vision to release one new product each year over the next five years. Furthermore, Revolt Motors plans to expand its sales network to 500 outlets within the next 12 to 18 months, a significant jump from the current 125. By the end of this fiscal year, the company aims to have 250 dealerships in operation.

The rapid expansion in production and export plans showcases the growing potential of electric vehicles in India's market and on a global scale.
