Zetwerk, a prominent marketplace for contract manufacturing, has reached a significant milestone in India's electric vehicle (EV) sector with the certification of its 60kW and 120kW DC fast chargers by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). This achievement underscores the company’s dedication to advancing the country’s EV infrastructure under the 'Make in India' initiative.

ARAI, a leading research institution under the Ministry of Heavy Industries, awarded the certification after comprehensive testing, confirming that Zetwerk's chargers meet stringent safety, environmental, and performance standards. These chargers will play a key role in ensuring reliable and efficient EV charging solutions across India.

Zetwerk has already secured contracts to supply these chargers to major clients like Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and other private charge point operators. This partnership is expected to significantly expand the network of fast-charging stations across the country.

"Achieving ARAI certification is a pivotal moment for us," said Srinath Ramakkrushnan, Co-founder and COO of Zetwerk. "It validates our commitment to quality, safety, and reliability, while also reinforcing our support for the 'Make in India' initiative and the growth of EV adoption with domestically produced chargers."

Looking ahead, Zetwerk plans to introduce new products within this financial year and is actively investing in research and development. The company is working on next-generation Super DC Chargers with capacities of 240kW and 360kW, aimed at reducing charging times for both commercial and public EV charging stations.

"This certification is a key step in enhancing EV charging infrastructure across the country," said Abhay Adya, Business Head of Energy Transition at Zetwerk. "By partnering with industry leaders like IOCL, we are driving the development of a robust and sustainable EV ecosystem."

As part of its collaboration with IOCL, Zetwerk will deploy over 1,400 EV fast chargers nationwide, ranging from 50kW to 120kW, utilizing advanced DC Dual Gun CCS2 Charger technology. These initiatives are central to India's push towards electrification, providing reliable charging options for both private and commercial vehicles.

With ongoing research, product development, and strategic partnerships, Zetwerk is poised to be a key player in transforming India's EV infrastructure, supporting the nation's transition to cleaner energy sources.
